Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to Reskin Elementary School.  We are very excited about the new school year, and a bit more.

As you can see we are introducing our new mascot, the Reskin Rocket! This will be our symbol to embody the character traits we want to develop in our students.  We strive for Respect, Responsibility and Safety for all in our school.  Please remind your student of the importance of being respectful, responsible, and safe at school. Our Positive Behavioral Intervention System (PBIS) will continue to be implemented to empower students to make positive choices, which positively impacts learning. As with every year, our school is committed to providing a comfortable learning environment for all students.

We are also starting our Community Eligibility Program (CEP) which will provide breakfast and lunch free of charge to ALL students in our community.  Participation is NOT mandatory, but we are happy to provide a nutritious meal for all students who wish to participate.  Lunch starts the first day of school, while breakfast starts on Tuesday.

Here at Reskin Elementary School, we expect another year of academic growth and proficiency in reading and math for all students, as well as creating student-centered and engaging classrooms.  I am very encouraged by the progress students have shown, and look forward to working with teachers, students, and parents to continue their academic success. We want to encourage all students to complete 800 total reading steps this year by reading 2 steps (30 Min.) every night!

You are a vital partner in your child’s academic growth. So we are counting on you to make sure your child is at school every day, they are here on time, and they are ready to learn!  Your support is vital and we want to make sure we have a line of communication available to you.

If you have questions or concerns during the year, please feel free to contact me. The staff and I look forward to working in partnership with you and your child during the upcoming school year.

Let’s have a great school year!
